We have been running around the last coupla months looking at potential shoplots to set up the Wheel Love skateshop. Here’s a rundown of locations we’re considering:
1- Cineleisure Damansara (aka e@theCurve)
2 – Sunway Pyramid
3- Centrepoint Bandar Utama
4- Brickfields
5- Subang Jaya
The most likely winner is this shoplot at SS15 Subang Jaya, located near the colleges and Asia Cafe. We’re code naming it Wak Daeng (for obvious reasons).
I guess you could say the lot “spoke” to us. Not your daddy’s shoplot, Wak Daeng looks and feels different from the other lots we’ve seen – TNB box in the front, entrance opens into an alley. Our absolute favourite thing about it was the nice spacious alley to call our own (grindbox! quarterpipes! patio furniture!)
Its also fairly spacious with space for an generous store room, office and lounge area for customers.
We in discussion with the property agents at the moment, but this looks like a winner so far!

actually is not ss19 lol it ss15…last time got warung there call Wak Daeng…Suddenly that warung or stall were ambush by MPSJ…and the rest is history….,so you want to open a skate shop or selling your own stuff?
o…Skate shop…I get it now….cool, can’t wait for opening and hope u guys can open at ss15 because near my house and ss15 is nice place to skate and eat too…hehehe
Sounds great, would it be a concern if it doesn’t expose to the public?
you’re right. thanks for pointing out bro.
weeeeeeeeeeee
yes coollen – not having a main road-facing front is a cause for concern, but then think about it, a front that faces your own little mini alley skatepark – WIN!
but yea – we’ll still make sure our presence is visible from the main road – gotta have massive arrows and shit point out where we are and how to get in
p/s – thanks for pointing out the address boo boo a.styles, we’ve fixed the post accordingly.
cant wait anymore… that would be my nearest skatepark in the future, hahaha~!!!
yea – we’re going to borrow/steal your/eric’s grindrail
First congrats!
Second i see pizza hut just few steps away… should be fun.
Third… MPSJ get Hannah Yeoh MPSj assemblyperson in subang..She’s young and hot for a politician in Malaysia.
get around with her for support. =)
Forth, Need shareholder? count me in! but first let me save some money first =)
kewl, behind my office *not that i would contribute to sales lar

i think hooi doesnt want us to ‘steal’ his rail
and no… thats not pizza hut. its Hair Asia!
Now everybody can get their hair cut like an Ah Beng.
lol looks like Pizza hut from far.. damn…
Bila buka kedai? I’ll be back Feb 2010 for CNY + my sis wedding… =)

great to hear you guys actually opening a skate shop!
thumbs up! so will it be concentrating on rolling products only or also including other stuffs like BMX skateboard etc?
anyway congrats!
there’ll b rolling, boarding and some clothing. stuff for girls too.
bikes maybe in the future.
ayo. subang. i so don’t go there. subang scares me. but am excited about the launch nevertheless!
tell me about it, we just struggled through a 30 min parking searching session.
but its also messed up in the early half of the day. it eases up a little towards the night (only a little), and is pretty chilled on weekends.
Memories…it’s near the first curb I grind and I remember there were railings everywhere. Great location, near colleges and young ppl! I’ll be visiting you guys when I get back in Feb
Hopefully with a mini half pipe next to the shops too?? Good luck wheel love.
see you soon Let!
