Streething did the impossible at the All In The Family (AITF) event last week. With reps from the many different aspects of Malaysian street culture checking in; from aerosol spitters to hiphop heads to kaki kasuts to wheeled skate waxers to guys who have way too much money to spend on clothes, the AITF had it all. Soothing all them egos and managing such diverse expectations must’ve been a toughie, but the boys at Streething pulled it off nicely.
The night started a little early for us, we had to get the All Skate No Hate Grindbox to Zouk before 5pm. The various political rallies and ‘illegal’ gatherings made us a little paranoid about the traffic situation in KL, but thankfully, all was well (the road, our political scene is of course a different matter altogether).

^Many thanks to Rav for helping us with the van
^Our initial setup for the grindbox had a great view but sadly, the ground was a little rough

^Yeng – bs royale (and yea…we nicked some pics off Streething)

^After moving the box to front entrance Riyaz knocked out this bluntslide (at least I think it’s bluntslide, my skateboarding knowledge doesn’t go that deep)

^Sukeats – royale to shifty out. In case you’re wondering, we had to temporarily remove the last section after one of the skateboarders smashed through the top of the 3rd section of the box

^Sukeats – bs full torque

^One of the Preduce guys, coming all the way from Thailand.
^Once we got the skate jam outta the way, we headed into the main room
Some of the people we managed drag along with us
^MC Vandal takes to the stage and pretty much stays there the rest of the night
^Kickin’ off the night was a fashion show featuring “real people” in some pretty off kilter get ups.
^ April (ex-JUICE) works it!
^Orang H!
^Reppin’ the wheeled love

^The highlight for most guys – the sneaker customisation demo by SBTG & Lazy and a live sketch by Dave White.

Things got a bit hazy afterwards thanks to the free Heinekens, but rest assured, we had fun. Big ups to the Streething guys and a special thanks to Choo Ee @ Kzzit for letting us be a part of it. Make sure you check out their post event writeup and pics HERE.
^Cheers!
