Wheel Love

We’re back, and we’ve got pictures! I burned through 4 rolls of film, only to find out that we had the camera to the wrong settings for half of them (sigh… live and learn huh?), but thankfully a few gems managed to come out beautifully.

But first, some basics, Nick drove taking in tow Yeng, Eric, Bahrom (from Brunei) and of course myself late Friday night.

Arriving at an ungodly 7am, we managed an early check-in at the dilapidated Berjaya Georgetown hotel before dropping by the Penang Youth Park for the Penang X-Jam.

Inline, as usual saw very limited entries – only 10. Obstacles too were a little bit more muted this year. Last year’s X-Jam saw a crazy see-saw style ledge and water hazard gap to grindbox, but this year’s event was graced with a bank to picnic table and bank to barricade. Not too bad I guess, not inspiring, but hey, gets the job done.

Anyway, on to the park skate session pics, there were no competition shots as I was stuck in the judging booth whilst the rest of the boys were competing.

^Its called the Penang Botanical Gardens for a reason. Dammit, I think Sanjit’s nature photography bug is rubbing off on me.

Anyway, long story short – Nik Suhaili won, taking home RM1k and a bunch of stuff.
No Penang trip is complete without an eating tour. So here are some pics of us stuffing our faces.
