WL33 Official Soundtrack: Ratatat

Have you ever wondered what rockers are singing about? Nowadays, it seems like its all about ambiguity and trite lyrics, or maybe I’m just not avant garde enough. But just cus the beat is rockin’ and the killer licks, we bop along to it anyway.

But… if… just what if, there was a band with all of the above, but without the artsy-dont-make-you-understandy lyrics?

Tadaa!

I’ll be first to admit that I’m totally gay for Ratatat, the moment George played it during one of our skating trips (yes George, you can claim credit for this), I knew they were for me. The twosome are a strictly instrumental only band with crunchy guitar based songs thats just flat out rawks. If however, you like their sound but would still like some vocals with it, check out “Remixes Vol. 1″, a remix album featuring rock-rap-tastic collabo work with Jay-Z, Kanye, Missy Elliott et al.
Warning though, their sound can get a tad bit stale with over-listening, so please, space out that Ratatat love.
